I have a relative that is going into a nursing home. He has a vast collection of collectables encompassing the domains of sports, sci-fi, fantasy, popular culture and other subject areas. If I didn't have a tiny little house I would keep everything for my children, but my space is very limited and time is short.
When I walked into his apartment, I was not prepared for what I found. You might call it a hording situation, however, everything is/ was meticulously arranged for display. There are layers of dust on top of things that haven't been moved in 25 years. There are 100s of little displays paying homage to iconoclastic athletes, movies, television shows, and comics. They are everywhere, including in the bathtub, inside closets, and inside kitchen cabinets. You have to move around very carefully.. I will be adding things as I can.
As the space is cleared out, more things will be added with greater frequently. As I said, there are layers of dust on many of the things. So, keep in mind, its probably coming to you a little dusty. Check back weekly for more newly posted collectable goodness!
