Chance boasted an impressive lifetime managerial record of 946-648.593 winning percentage, with his. 664 winning percentage as Cubs manager standing as the highest in franchise history. His dual success as player and manager is a rarity in MLB history.

He led the Cubs to 100 wins in 1906, 1907, 1909, and 1910, making him the first manager to achieve four 100-win seasons-an accomplishment matched by only eight others in MLB history. Chance's leadership led the Cubs to four National League championships during that span, clinching the World Series in 1907 and 1908.

Alongside Joe Tinker and Johnny Evers, Chance formed a formidable double play combination famously known as "Tinker-to-Evers-to-Chance" in Baseball's Sad Lexicon. During baseball's off seasons, Chance pursued prizefighting. His skills in the ring earned admiration from legends like James J. Sullivan, who regarded him as the greatest amateur brawler of all time.

Sadly, Chance's life was cut short by health issues, and he passed away at the age of 47. Together with the 1933 Goudey and 1952 Topps sets, the T206 completes the "Big Three" classic baseball card sets.

Affectionately named "The Monster" based on its 524-card size, the T206 is home to some of the most valuable vintage baseball cards, including the famed T206 Honus Wagner rarity.
